As the years continue to pass me by I've continued to learn the lessons this life has to offer. Traveled the world and seeing the various cultures and touching people from all walks of life I am glad I have chosen the life I've lived. My life has been a blessing as I enjoy family and friends as they gather near me from time to time. Though recently I've grown weary of living alone.
Now diagnosed with diabetes I've begun the process of learning to live with this problem. Trying to take control of my sugar levels I must confess it has been difficult as I continue to put some of the dreams I had on hold. I don't worry too much as my life isn't that bad but it sure could be better. But like many of you reading this I realize life comes with some level of difficulty as I look back at some of mine own I've managed through.
I've had to grow up when I got married. As life is not only about living its about the other things that come with it. Like learning to coping with some of life's problems. As I care for those who have entered and now re-entered my life. My ex-wife lives now lives in Hawaii with my daughter Crystal and her son Andrew. I have two step daughters Jenni and Sara all have children of their own now. It seems we went our separate ways many times over the twenty-eight years of our marriage. It was finalized a few years ago.
I don't know which was worse the military life or the civilian one later. I can sympathize with many divorced dads as I spent a lot of my time and money trying to maintain my child support to the children I believe I would never again heard from. My thoughts would drift from time to time as I tried to image where they were or wonder what kind of person they had become. But then one day I was blessed when one of them Jennifer seek me out and as she discovered who I was the opportunities soon provided me with a chance in welcoming the others back into my life.
Now realizing life has always had its ups and downs and realizing the rollercoaster ride is still moving forward. I have managed to go with the flow for the most part but still wondering if the seat beside me will ever get warm again. Its time to introduce myself my name is Chris and I hope in the coming days ahead I will be welcomed here as I tread into new territory. I've managed to have a well rounded life with some great moments and some disappointments as well along the way.
Managing still to keep a job here in Florida where I grew up. As I maintaining my existence with some clarity and some sanity still. My family made up of many other families now as we continue to survive the hardships of these times together. Granted this provides each of us to shine during different times. It seems no two individuals are alike and as you get to know me you'll have a chance to know them as well. But for now this is just a little bit about myself. Thank you for allowing me your time.
