  Hello,
  
  Let me paint a picture with words:
  
  You are in a forest with the sounds of a flowing brook nearby. A light breeze brings in the scent of pine trees and honeysuckles. You look up and hear a woodpecker on a nearby tree echoing through the woods and it brings a smile. Never having been on this forest path you follow a peculiar trail of roses that starts on the trail and leads off into the deeper woods. It’s a strange place for cultivated roses. One rose after another; they beckon you to follow them. The scent is light and wonderful, sparkles of purple float up from the flowers into the wind and drift off.
  “What on Earth?” In a hole in an oak tree you find three small bottles of honey. A single drop of honey on your tongue is so sweet and delicious as if you haven’t eaten in a week.
  
  “That is my honey.” The voice is a big one though not threatening.
  
  You come face to face with the big red dragon. “Oh my.”
  
  
  
  You have a nice shelf.
  
  I hope you are reading lots of interesting books.
  
  Dracula: Hearts of Stone is about a suicidal Dracula (he’s a good guy in this trilogy) that must snap out of his funk if he is to help save the world from evil vampires. He's created vampire sheriffs to battle the bad guys but they're being overrun. Piers Anthony (the author) is trying desperately to get him to jump into the battle. It's a tale of vampires, wizards and romance.
  
  Knights of the Dragon is about a dragon that hires knights to help save Leeander and a young boy that the dragon cares about.

  Unrealistic or not my writing gives me hope. But with something like 50 000 books published every month it is a little discouraging. I didn’t think there were that many writers.

  I tried one of the dragon books before trying this Pride series. I couldn't get into it - most likely because I'm not that into dragons. :) I'll try them later. A friend of mine suggested that I try these. So glad I did. I love the wild dogs.

  Check out "My Life as a Vampire" by Beth A. Hoyer a recently published book. I just finished it and found the book pretty good. Its a vampire story told in first person by at first Beth the main character herself protesting against her brother Janick's telling her she's a vampire. she doesn't believe him till he gets her to check out a book from the town library. Beth discovers the book is written by her Mother Amyanna Henry herself as pointed out via a servant living in the house with her and her brother Janick. Beth reads the book to discover its in first person a diary a series of letters to Elizabeth written by her Mother talking about her life of becoming a vampire and receiving rejection from her family that raised her. Amyanna details in her diary of trying to get acceptance from the vampires in her world despite feeling alone and rejected. Get the book and see if Amyanna will get the acceptance she wants. Plus the vampires in the book are different from any other vampires I've read before. The males are seemingly telepathic only communicate via mental talk towards females while females have the ability to speak voice talk. See what I mean when you check out the book.

  well read as much of Halfway to the Grave as I could. The book got to the point where I couldn't take it Bones' English attitude. He sure did reminded me of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. i saw the series on TV. I do watch TV anyway. Didn't finish the book at least I tried it.

  Hi Finally got around to the Night Huntress series. Am reading book one of the series at the moment. So far the book at first didn't impress me but I kept on reading it. Bones seems like he's from England judging by the use of his language.

  Please let me know what's your opinion on the "Night Huntress" series. I never read them and is interested. Shelfari highlighted book four called "Destined for an early Grave." Its about a female named Cat who has an undead lover named Bones. That's what I could figure out from the highlighted area on my shelfari page.

  I saw that you read Ral's Woman, I really liked this whole series have you read anything similar to this type of genre you know like hot, loving alpha male from a different planet I can't seem to find anything

  Hi Have you read the Highlander Series by Karen Marie Moning? I checked out the synoposis for Awaken the Highlander. It seems similar themed to one of Moning's books Kiss of the Highlander which has this story too a female main character finding a Highlander the male main character from the past of Medieval times in present day and wakes him up. Check it out if you can. I'm not sure if I would want to read Awaken the Highlander due to its theme.
