more »My mission in life is to empower, enrich, and educate children and teens. I believe this is the reason God has me here - his purpose for my life. Right now, I'm in school for my EdD in Teacher Leadership (graduating 2009). After graduation, I plan to expand my business - AYM Enrichment Program (AYM stands for Advancing Young Minds) - that offers tutoring, SAT prep, ESL classes, Spanish classes, etc. My dissertation is on incentives and the reading motivation of teens. I plan to do more research on reading motivation as a whole after I graduate.
With that being said, I LOVE to read - always have...always will. I read practically ANYTHING I can get my hands on - as long as it keeps my attention. I am an aspiring author who dreams of being published one day. I'm hoping to give people the same kind of joy that I've always got when reading. I want to be a multi-genre author, but my main focus right now is children/teen fiction. I have one middle grade book (for ages 10 - 14) that I'm currently shopping around for representation and am working on two YA novels (ages 14+)
