I am a literature snob and I'm not afraid of admitting that fact.

I read a lot, and often read many books at one time. I love going to one of the four different libraries in my area and searching for a good book. There is no shame in digging through a bargain bin.

When I'm not reading, I'm writing. I have about twenty-or-so... more »

I love reading anything by Mitch Albom, he is such a gifted and talented writer. I read "For One More Day" in one day which I thought was kind of funny. The story itself made me think of my own relationship with my mother and how everyday really is a gift. We take a lot of things for granted in life, our loved ones especially. Such a great read.

I chose to read this book one day at the library. I had nothing to do and decided to choose something off one of the shelves and ended up picking this at one of the last shelves at the back of the library. From the first page I couldn't put it down, it's such an interesting book.

I'm probably one of Tim Burton's biggest fans. I love everything he does so I have a bit of a bias in my review of this book. It is a great collection of poems and is a must-have for Tim Burton fans. I've seen figures based on characters in the book, including "oyster boy" at comic book shops recently.

One of the greatest stories ever told. The main character Holden Caulfield, a school dropout, is a character you can definitely relate to. He speaks honestly about the world.

Purchased this graphic novel as an impulse buy from B&N. I was surprised to find that it was by Mike Mignola of Hellboy fame and that it won the 2003 Eisner Award for Best Humor Publication. I didn't know what to expect from this collection of stories but I was pleasantly surprised, especially with "The Magician and the Snake" which is as good a story as it is short trailing in at 6 pages. The story itself won the 2003 Eisner Award for Best Short Story. Complete with a re-imagining of "Jack and the Beanstalk" titled "Abu Gung and the Beanstalk" and a kind of sketchbook at the end giving never-before-seen drawings and rough sketches make this a must-have for Mignola fans.

My favorite by Palahniuk so far. The journey that is described is completely original. I was enthralled to the very last page.
