You have me curious about your facebook profile now! ;-) I never know who I should or shouldn't friend over there from shelfari because I never know how many people want to share that extra info. I was quite hesitant at first - friending people I hadn't actually met in person - because I have so much more personal info there (though I chat so much here, probably a lot of it is already posted here somewhere, anyway!). So, speaking of... are you o.k. with me friending you over there? I'll totally understand if not, but if you're o.k. with it, I'll go find you. :-)

Thanks, Nicole. I have about 10 pages left. Usually, that would be something i would stay up to finish, but 10 pages of Gravity's Rainbow is the equivalent of about 50 pages in any other book. Should finish tomorrow. It has been a hell of a ride but I am ready to pull over and walk a little bit at this point. I would like to get the feelings back in my legs. What a crazy f-er this Pynchon is. Really. Truly. Mad.

Thanks for rec of "Survivor." I'll add it to my list right now. The "Fight Club" movie was great when I saw it, and it went up in my estimation after reading the book. I agree, the movie was ultimately better.

I always used the search feature and sometimes it would take a couple of tries before I could bring it up. I did not know about the bookmark feature.

I really enjoyed writing out my books and describing and rating them, I was already over 50 books, I don't want to have to start all over. Thank you, Alison

I got the package today, but not good news. The envelope was empty and it had been damaged. It looks like someone sliced open the envelope along the seam and took the book out. There are post office stamps on it saying "Received damaged" "Contents empty when received." I can send you pix of the envelope if you like. I can't believe someone would do that. Some days I really hate people. :(

Thank you for sending it to me, though. I'm sorry I won't be able to read and review it.

I see that you are the administrator for the 50 book challenge, so I am going to see if you know how to resolve my problem as I have requested help to no avail though the site. I can't get into my page on the 50 book challenge, and I have taken so much time getting all of my books listed (over 50, already) my name in that group is : alison d's 50 for 2011 can you give me some feedback as to why I may not be able to access it. thank you for hearing me out.
