Thanks Coyotemusic. For now I used the search discussions. I do know about when I used it last time, but when I go even 80 pages back, mine is just not between them and because of people using the search discussion it doesn't order them anymore nicely by last time you used them. Now I used the search discussion but it didn't come on the first page/last posted page.
    Thanks

You really think that Breaking Dawn is worth finishing?? I probably will, but most likely when this semester is over though. Thank you for the comment.

Thanks for your opinion on Coelho. I am reading Valkyries now, but must say I enjoyed Zahir more. I was thinking of discussing one of his more recent books as an example of his works - good or bad. Alchemist is well known and hailed as his best. But what about the rest? The Zahir might suit my purpose because it has lots of cross references to his other books. I will still read 'river', so cannot comment right now.

I have tried 2 diff moore books (one was lamb) and just couldnt read him. dunno. weirdly enough - while i read a LOT of vampire/paranormal etc, I dont care for any 'sacreligous' content or truly much religion in my books. I gotta be a weird one.

Sadly, while my tbr pile grows, I am often actively seeking new books off my wish list. Fortunately I do read a lot. And this has been a great place for me to keep track of what I already have so I no longer buy 3 copies of the same book! I will check out Ruff - thank you!

Sorry, but yeah, it's gone. I don't have the time to keep monitoring it for inappropriate comments. You said I opened a can of worms? More like a whole pile of manure. Everyone who posted something gets a free word, and that includes you. I'll have to come up with something else for that bonus.

Hi Coyotemusic--I saw your post on RIT and put these titles there, but thought I'd also drop into your page with them. The only books I've ever been able to search out (I haven't gotten my hands on copies yet) are the out-of-print titles Star of the North by Helene Lehr and a trilogy by Evelyn Anthony, Imperial Highness, Curse Not the King, and Far Fly the Eagles. She is also a minor character in The Eight by Katherine Neville, which is a pretty good book. Hope you can find them!

Asia?! You do travel to some exotic places! If I were you, I'd consider titles with colors and occupations. Have a great time in Asia -- we want details when you get back. :)

I enjoyed Art of Racing in the Rain, very emotional book. I wrote a little mini-review of it here (http://sraets.livejournal.com/21023.html). I usually cross-post those reviews to Shelfari but seem to have forgotten this time :)

HI, I've just finished The Yiddish Policemen's Union - I had some trouble to get "into" this book, but by p150 or so I was hooked, and in the end I quite liked it. I've posted my review and sent one to Ma for the RIT blog as well. I'm really interested in your thoughts on this book, so I hope to hear from you once you've finished it :-)

Oh and yes I am loving House of Leaves. Truly a remarkable, unique, and enthralling reading experience. I'm also really enjoying The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. Very different.

I have Beth Cooper on my library list. It should come within the next few weeks. I'll share my thoughts when I finish it. Thanks for the input! I'm in the mood for humour these days. :)

You may have already read it, but I'm currently 50 pages into The Spellman Files right now, and thoroughly enjoying it. Too bad reading at work is frowned upon, otherwise that's what I'd be doing right now.
