I had slowed down on reading anything but audiobooks and OTR (I had a very long commute) for several years and it has only been recently that I have begun to... more »

    Hi Renee :)

I see that you have added "Legends of Marithia: Prophecies Awakening" to your shelf.

Thank you for giving my books a go. Enjoy the journey and I look forward to your thoughts on it. If you are to be as kind as to take the time to leave an honest review on amazon.com, that would be fantastic.

You may or may not be aware that the sequel to Prophecies Awakening is also available, it is titled "Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising" (http://www.amazon.com/Legends-Marithia-Darkness-Rising-ebook/dp/B0068INX66/ref=sr_1_3?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1342139620&sr=1-3&keywords=legends+of+marithia)

I blog regularly and am very active on Twitter, Facebook, and goodreads... so feel free to link up :)

    Renee,
Thanks so much for adding my first book to your shelf. I too slowed down (actually stopped) my reading for a period of five years. I lost interest after my Mom (also an avid reader) died. But once I got my "read" back I was reading four books at a time. Different genres, some for fun, most for info (trying to understand this rapidly changing society, nation, world that we live in). Let's both keep reading!
    Thanks, Fran

I haven't read anything by Dorothy Gilman and D. Sayers. It looks like you are a big fan. I'm just gett'n started with a writing career and hopefully I'll have some avid readers in time. Thank you for taking a chance on the Gold of Mansa Musa.

I think you are right. I am having so much fun reading and comparing.... My DH volunteers at a e-garbage recycling center. They get so many palms in it's not even funny LOL maybe you can go check one out in your area and still get one. I think it's a great idea and if you don't mind I will "make" e-readers for my kids with your idea! :)

Ok.. I checked at KMart and It's not the Archos, Theirs is called Augen and it's not all that great (Apparently another Cruz only with a different name and unauthorized Google Android Marketplace on it LOL)
Here is a link to the Archos website..http://www.archos.com/
I haven't gotten around to checking it out in person. Still trying to find out who carries them here locally! (learned my lesson about buying electronics online LOL)
I have found this review, that does not sound promising ..... http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20011864-1.html
Keep on reading, further down it talks about other tablets... I thought Archos was put out by google, but apparently I was totally wrong....
*sigh* going to keep up the search.... LOL

Hello Renee! If you are still looking for something, have your friend check out the Archos 7o tablet! It plays almost every video format out there, all audio formats and you can use it as an e-reader too...as well as brows the internet. (WIFI), has a web cam,7 inch touch screen, solid state hard drive of 250gb (weighs 14 oz) Flashdrive version weighs 11 oz, but has only 8gb memory (could be replaced?)It has the 2.2 android OS but is compatible with mac, windows or linux... I am looking into it after the fiasco with the cruz! (had a run in with their customer service today! Oh my!!)
