I have worked in libraries my entire adult life including college - minus a about a year and a half just before and after my mother died and am now back part time at my home town library. I had slowed down on reading anything but audiobooks and OTR (I had a very long commute) for several years and it has only been recently that I have begun to read and re-read the stacks of books I could not stop collecting for the "some day" when I knew I would settle down and start reading again. My Christmas present to ME last year was a kindle and I obsessively look for classic public domain mysteries, check the best seller list for freebies every day, and look up favorite authors to see if they have been "kindled" - so I am getting back into the swing of things! I signed up on Shelfari a few months ago but I just wasn't ready to start committing myself to working on my Shelfari page. I am afraid I visit my MySpace page about two or three times (or less) a year, have hundreds of unread emails, just can't face twittering and only text with my best friend - but in the last few days I'm not happy unless I bring up my Shelf and think of something, anything, even one title to add so maybe there is hope for me yet!
