I started reading ravenously when I was 12, after picking up Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. It is still one of my all-time favourite books.

I am a new student of the University of Washington (go huskies!) and I'm thinking about majoring in English.

i'm not coming home to see 'about face.' :-( i'm sorry! it's just too close to my spring break so it doesn't make sense for me to come home twice. if only airfare wasn't so expense!

i know picking a college is hard but i believe in you! go with your gut. or try thinking for a whole day 'i'm going to school A' and see how you feel and then try 'i'm going to school B' the next day. it may help. i tried filling out my acceptance to davis before i made up my mind. when i filled that out, i knew i really wanted to come to UW. good luck!!

Thanks for the suggestions, I liked Coraline quite a bit. Have you seen the movie Mirrormask? It is a Neil Gaiman script with a similar story line to Coraline.
