I'm a casino dealer, have been one for over 10 years now. I love to read, as seen by my bookshelf, paranormals. If it has vampires, werewolves, zombies, spirits, etc., then I'm more than likely reading it. Glad to have found Shelfari and all the people I have met so far.

    I have about 35 e books myself. I bought some because they are part of a series I was reading and they didn't publish that book. Others I wanted to read and it is lighter in weight to take a 1.5 lb mini laptop with 15 e books on the plane than 10 books that weight 7 or more lbs. With restrictions of 50 lbs that takes up space I don't have. I only read them when traveling though, I listen more to audio (mp3) while working and driving. I'm self employed so it's allowed. That way I can listen to 2-3 books a week and read about 4 full size, or 6 books under 200 pages. Still going to take years to get though my 2600 TBR book pile!

    Ive read any given doomsday and I agree with you. But all in all it was a good book. Im going to pick up the next CL Wilson book soon. Also saw that Sherrilyn Kenyon is coming out with a new book, so Im happy

    thanks for your reply, I will keep an eye out for the book you are now reading. Your user name caught my attention with a smile. I work in a library (don't get excited it's in a University....full of reference books!) and I'm known as the Shelving goddess. It's nice for us women to be referred as goddesses, don't you think? Happy reading to you too, I'm about to start another in the Immortal series.

    Thanks for the friend invite. I already added you back. It's nice to meet you. Please call me Grain or Joyce. Anything will suit me. ^.^

    Anyway, I have The Dark Highlander and The Immortal Highlander but I haven't read any of those two yet even if I want to because I want to start reading them in series. I read a not from KMM at the last pages of TDH and she told her readers that she wrote the book in such a way that it could be read as a stand-alone but then of course, the reading experience will be richer if you read it in series. Is the Highlander series not done yet? From what I know, KMM have another series in the works, am I right?

    Do you also read romance? What other romance genres do you read? I only started recently so I've only read very few romance novels. Have you read many? What other books did you like?

    would like to invite you to participate in the ABC contest starting on July 1, 2008.
    I will post a thread that has the letters of the ABC's list, then start your own thread for example mine would be Sherry's ABC's and list the books that you read with those letters has the first letter in any title of book, it doesn't have to be in the genre either. Each person will be responsible for sending me their points via the group email at vampireswitchesweresallthat@yahoo.com. For every book you read during the time period (until the next letters are posted) you will receive 10 points in the email you must list the title, author, and pages so that if there is tie, we will use page count to break the tie. Everyone is eligible to win, even admin's as a third party will be keeping track of the points for me...so post the books you read...I will post the first letters on July 1.

    Just a reminder that our book for June in Vampire's Witches and Were's is Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost.
