    anyway, I really like to suggest u reading " Blindness" by "Jose Saramago"(he won noble prize 4 this book)

    I would definitely recommend reading "Water for Elephants". The cruelty isn't terribly explicit and it's integral to the story. It also affects people as well as animals.

    First I read Dawkin's "The God Delusion" and then "God is not Great". They approach the subject differently and I think the best way is the order I read them in. Hitchings is more sarcastic than Dawkins. Give them a try.

    I just finished "World Without End" and pronounce it super-great.

    OK you guys, I'm into "World Without End" which is the sequel to Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth" Both are very interesting and I'm sure you would like them

    I just read Fun Home on the recommendation of a friend of mine who is teaching it in her graduate seminar at Cal State East Bay. The entire time I was reading it I thought of you. But you beat me to the punch!
    You really need to read some novels, young lady.
