“what an incredible debut novel...this is a story the author based on love letters exchanged between her grandparents during WWII.....the author, Carrie Nyman, is such an extraordinary storyteller that I ended up sobbing after reading one of the book's later chapters. All avid readers are on the lookout for an exciting new novelist...and if this is what Nyman offers up as her first book, well, I can't wait to get my hands on her future publications.”

“I love this book......I read it on a snowy quiet day at work while I held sick little babies in my arms...I think it is special for that reason also...it was a rare quiet day in a usually busy frenetic work environment....and I just got sucked into the story”
