Colette B

I'm a self-confessed 25-year-old bibliophile. I am a paramedic, which provides for a lot of downtime between calls, so I always like to have a good book or two close by.
I used to work at Borders', and during that time I think I may have spent more time writing down titles that I wanted to read than actually helping customers. So needless... more »

Hi Colette. I'd love for you to review my book. It's available at Amazon.com. The name of it is "The Cave." It's a Young Reader book, but I've enjoyed lots of positive reviews from adult readers.

    Take care,
    Steve McGill

Just a quick reminder that the Minneapolis-St.Paul-Minnesota group has a contest/drawing going right now to celebrate the fact that we hit 100 members a few months ago. If you would like to be entered into the drawing, all you have to do is write a review of a book written by a Minnesota author (or one set in Minnesota). There's a thread set up on the group for the reviews. The prizes are $10 gift certificates for book stores - something we all need LOL. The deadline for writing a review is July 31st.

P.S. to my previous message. I just noticed that I spelled your name wrong and wanted to apologize. As a person whose first name and last name are frequently mispelled, I should have paid closer attention.

    Hi Collette,

Welcome to the Minneapolis-St.Paul-Minnesota Group! We recently hit 100 members (you are #102), so we're kicking off a 100-Member Celebration! Details are available on the group site. Hint: It involves a drawing for some gift certificates, and participation is required in order to be eligible for the drawing :-) Come celebrate with us!

Also, we've announced that our summer group read will be Leif Enger's newest book: So Brave, Young and Handsome. I'm reading this book right now and will have the discussion thread up by next week. The thread will be available for discussion this entire summer.

Also we have a thread on the group site for new members to introduce themselves. (Hint, Hint.)

Either way is fine! Some people started from January 1st and some started from the day they joined the group and go a year from there. It's a personal choice. :)

Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die here and join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (from the book) or you can argue the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in our discussions. The current books are at the top of the list for that month. If there is any way I can answer your questions about the group or about Shelfari, let me know.
If you don’t own the book the list can be found http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845

Hi there! I'm just dropping by to welcome you to The 100+ Book Challenge. The idea of the group is pretty much self explanatory - try to read 100 or more books in a one year period. If you do have any questions, please feel free to send a message to me or Tenia. In the meantime, good luck reaching your goal!
