I love books. I don't read much as I would like to, but I always have stacks of books waiting to be read. Sometimes I'm more of a collector than a reader! Most of the time I am reading 3 or 4 books simultaneously.

I work full-time but evenings and weekends I make art. I love making artist trading cards (ATCs), gluebooks and small...more »

Smilla's Sense of Snow captivated me too. I was fascinated with a protagonist who was from Greenland. I agree with your opinion of the movie. One critic called it "Smilla's Sense of Slow."

Hi Cindy - thanks for your note. I see you have Kate Atkinson's Case Histories on your shelf. I'm currently reading the sequel, One Good Turn. It was hard to get into and its taking me forever to finish! But there are some really great moments in it. Some very funny bits too.

    Hi Cindy,
I saw we had a whole buch of books in common. Don't we have great taste ; ) I recently finished Heart Sick by Chelsea Cain and it was fantastic. What are you reading? I'm always looking for a new book to read so I welcome anything you'd recommend. Happy New Year!

Thanks for joining the Suspense & Thrillers group! Love having new members. Though it might be on page 4 of the discussions, there is a spot for introductions as well as members who’d like updates, so jump in at any time.

There are several pages of threads in this group. When you have the time, go back over them. See if you can add a comment or two. We’d love to hear what you think.

Each month we have a group read. Those threads are saved for new members joining, in case they’d like to add their input.

We’re finishing up our December group read is “The Last Noel” by Heather Graham. The discussion thread will remain up so you can comment if you decide to read the book.

The next group read will start January. It’s “The Missing” by Chris Mooney. What a great book!

We also have Buddy Reads which are like monthly reads. One that is currently going on is Leave No Trace by Hannah Nyala. If you’ve read this book or would like to, jump right in.

We also have a US book ray that you are welcome to sign up for.

If you have any questions, please let me know!
