I'm a Java Developer and a pretty good reader. On the tech side, I prefer the Manning and O'Reilly books. As for fiction, as you can see I'll read just about anything.

    An interesting and entertaining read.

I enjoyed this book, but it didn't strike me as a "page turning thriller". It has a fairly leisurely pace, I think. Nonetheless, I found it interesting and entertaining.

I've only just started this book and I've already learned a couple of great tips!

I've just hit the halfway mark on this book (the beginning of "King of the Vagabonds") and I have really enjoyed it so far. The historic backdrop of the book I find fascinating and it's already led me to read up several persons and events from the period. Seeing the ancestors of some of the characters from "Cryptinomicon" pop-up is pretty neat as well.

This book, like all the Neil Stephenson books I've read, is extremely dense but so far is well worth the read. :)

    ...much time passes...

I didn't think it would happen to me, but after about three years I have finished this book! Even more shocking, I am now reading the next one in the cycle. I definitely recommend taking a break between books.

Pretty good, but what happened to the ending? This book was an enjoyable read but starts to falter in the final quarter.
