Hello folks,

My name is Chris Swinney (pen name of C.L.Swinney). I'm a fiction writer focusing on law enforcement thrillers involving narcotics. I write my stories based on what I have seen and been a part of during my on-going career as a narcotics/homicide detective.

My first book, Gray Ghost, is coming out in July 2013, through Oak Tree Press. I am hoping to make this first of the Bill Dix novels into a series. I completed a second book, called The Collectors. I've also started the third book.

I'm married and have two children. My Kids play sports, do band and choir, and therefore, it's difficult to find time to read and write.

I'm a big fan of classic authors such as Ludlum and Hillerman, contemporary authors such as Patterson, Silva, Deaver, Gabaldon and Hoag, and local authors like John Brantingham, Terry Ambrose, Marilyn Meredith, Marta Chausee, and Sunny Frazier. I'm slowly getting involved with writing reviews....
