I'm a consultant specialising in the application of technology to education, training and employee communications.

I developed my interest in interactive media at American Express in the early eighties, where I was Director, Training and Creative Services. I was a co-founder of Epic Group plc, the UK's largest developer of bespoke e-learning. Since going freelance in 1997, I've consulted for a host of public and private sector organisations. For the Institute of IT Training, I developed an accreditation programme for e-Iearning providers, standards for e-Iearning materials and training programmes for e-Iearning designers and online tutors. As well as consulting, I run courses in all aspects of e-learning and undertake design and development work for e-learning and blended solutions.

On the basis that if I don't show off I will be the only one that doesn't, you should know that in 2004 I received the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Training Industry at the World of Learning conference. In partnership with David Kori, I also took the prize for Generic Solution of the Year for Ten Ways to Avoid Death by PowerPoint. To date I’ve had four books and e-books published and more than 100 articles. « less
