Cindy W

I am a mom of 3. Other than reading, I love watching baseball with my husband and kids. The first romance novel I read was Perfect by Judith McNaught, and I was hooked. I just can't seem to tame the TBR pile-- So many books, so little time.

Ack - I just saw this. We did well. The kids and I evacuated to Dallas, but my husband rode out the storm and we were blessed in that we had no damage to any of our property. We got power back within a couple of days so all in all - we are sitting really pretty. Some areas of town are STILL without power. But things are pretty much getting back to normal. The grocery stores have pretty much restocked and there is ample gas. It's amazing how easily we take these things for granted.

I am pinkgirlie1977. So once you get a book it's yours to keep, right? It doesn't have to go back up?

Ok, so I broke down and joined PBS. There are a few series romances that my UBS doesn't carry due to their age, and I reeeallly wanted them, then I remembered you talking about PBS!! Score, they have them!! This may become an addiction. ;)

Thanks Cindy! It arrived safe and sound. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you to let you know of the delivery status. There was the small matter of a hurricane. :-)

When you read the fever series, take notes! I will from now on. I've never heard of The Hunger Games. I've read just one of the Dark Hunter books so far. I should go vote. I'm not really happy with the book club questions for the Gargoyle-maybe because it's been a few weeks since I've read it and I hate to admit it, I forget important stuff. Take notes for that as well LOL.

OH NO! Don't be bummed! It's a great book but I'm waffling over the rating for a few different reasons. I finished it yesterday, for the last few weeks I've been reading the forums, and rereading darkfever and bloodfever, along with reading as many of her Highlander series that I could to gather/refresh back story. KMM couldn't write the book any other way and it truly is Mac's darkest hour and the author doesn't pull her punches. It's the third book so I was expecting the stuff to hit the fan and it does and but there are so many questions, so many books involved in this storyline that it's frustrating. You don't have to read the Highlander books but it gives you a wealth of back story to draw from. The 3 rating will change, in fact I came on to do that but I still don't feel I can write the review it needs. Who the characters are and what is going on is intense. KMM puts important things in the smallest of details. The 3 rating was due to 1. my own frustration 2. questions answered=more questions 3. I haven't absorbed everything yet and what it means 4. i have to wait a year for Dreamfever LOL 5. the year of waiting will be painful because of the whole hitting the fan thing. Initially I was mad because there wasn't more of Barrons in it but you learn a lot about him when he is in it and it's in the not telling rather than the telling BUT I still don't know who he is. I don't think these books actually should be rated individually. When all is said and done, the series should be rated. To me, Faefever is Macs and Barrons hell and I have to wait so long for them to fight their way out of it!

I see you are reading Darkfever!! Have you read all her highlanders yet? While not necessary, the highlander books build up your knowledge of the world she is creating in the Fever series. Faefever just came out yesterday (book 3), and I need to go get it!!!

Thanks for both! I am sure that it will help greatly! I am so excited about working on it that I have been staying up entirely too late at night and not really doing any reading. I told myself to walk away from it for a couple of days before I add anything else so I can look at it with fresh eyes.

Also, wasn't there a discussion on here about how great everyone's blog is? It listed some helpful websites and etc. Anyone know where it went? Or is it on the ROR Challenge Discussion board?

    Any help is appreciated! :-)

It was a great game. Would have been better if Papelbon didn't blow the save :-)
Awesome that you have tickets for every night. Red Sox tickets are impossible to get.

I've read them. I do have a Nora Roberts, that's pretty new! I may even try one of her In Deaths, since everyone seems to love them so. I'm working thru my chicklit right now. It got horrible reviews, but so far it's at least quick. If only my family would leave me to my books...:P
