    I just finished reading The House at Sugar Beach, it is a memoir about Helene Cooper's life in Liberia Africa. The history was very interesting about the establishment of Liberia but I did not find any emotional connection to the read. I am reading The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet now. It is a good read about how the Japanese were put into prison camps during WWII in the USA. A lot of people don't realize how they were treated during that time period. Looks like the movies will be crowded tomorrow with New Moon starting.

    Hi Alicia, Thanks for the invite. Looks like you enjoy Iris J. books. If you look at my shelf you can see I have read her a lot. I am a grandmother so I have read a number of books over time. It is hard to remember all her books but most of them were good reads and fast. One of the best love stories is The Time Travelers Wife. If you haven't seen to movie, read the book first. I don't know any female regardless of age that didn't like this book. I tried 3 times to read it and couldn't get past 50-75 pages but because I am in book clubs it was a pick so finally I read it and loved the story.
