Hope to see you at VA BOOK. I'm not on panel this year (no new book released) but am speaking to AP classes at CHS about Catcher, Caught and The Catcher in the Rye. Lots of good stuff happening, bio ethics classes discussing it, high schools all over the country, and some colleges, but not the NYT best seller list I dream about. Just finished the 'next' novel when I was in Florida in February, am polishing now, and have a writing friend who will read it this week before I make the final fixes, send it off to NY, and start that rain dance for a book contract.
So... enough solitude, you're connecting online, or maybe you have book contract you haven't told anyone about yet???
Seriously, we hear some of your writing news in the Writer House Newsletter. I'm restraining myself from spending the money for Ann Patchett's STATE of WONDER, hoping someone dumps it on the giveaway shelf at the libraries I cruise. Great photo, South Carolina and writing retreats are agreeing with you. I'd love to hear about Key West.
