i like to read. a lot. i am a nerd disguised as a cool chick. i love the saturdays when i don't have to be anywhere and i can spend the whole day curled up with a hot mug of joe and read an entire book. if it's raining outside and there is a fire burning all the better!! i hope when i die my name will be written inside every book in the library like my grandma's was!!....wait, do people actually go to the library anymore??
in order to rebirth the beauty of the library, i have been challenging myself to go once a week and gather new reading material in hope to save some trees, money that could be spent elsewhere for the common good and be around people who are searching for meaning, knowledge or levity.
over the past few years i have mainly read books on spirituality, philosophy and counseling. this year, i am have been fascinated with historical pieces. i find myself living within the shoes of great thinkers, leaders, influencers and frankly madmen/women. i love hearing the deep inner thoughts that went into the making of a revolution. whether it be a personal, national or global one at that.
i also LOVE LOVE LOVE to read and learn about health, holistic issues, medical breakthroughs, raw or healthy cooking basically anything having to do with overall wellness.
