    You have the ear of so many romance authors! Any chance you could get them to stop using the following sentence?

    "He plundered her mouth."

    Ugh!!!! Not only does it not sound sexy IMHO, but it's beyond cliche!!! Help Katiebabs!!!!! It's driving me crazy!!!

    i actually joined shelfari for just that reason. i have a tbr 'notebook'. lol. well i have added about 15 pages to that notebook already and i haven't even really got into alot of the groups to check out their shelves and recommendations. just gone on word of mouth so far.........or maybe i should say 'stroke of key'. lol

    i do have a habit of going from one genre to another. right now, i'm mostly immersed in something paranormal. i've always found time for horror. but i haven't read romance in years. it just seems so cheesy to me and seems from one book to the other it's the same story with different characters. but usually, whatever it is, i'll read it. be it novel, gossip mags or the back of the cereal box. lol

    No problems. :) It happens sometimes. VC Andrews - yes, I don't buy any of the newer stuff by that author, but I used to read the early works alot. They were definitely very dark.

    Some really odd stories, but told in a very fascinating way. I now lean more toward the romance genre, but I do still remember those books very clearly.

    Hi Christine! Thanks for adding me as a friend! We do seem to have a lot of books in common. I see you have The Host by Meyer as one of your favorite books. I've heard a lot of good things about that one. Do you think a person who doesn't really like sci-fi books would like it? (I'm asking for myself and a friend we're both not really into sci-fi) :)

    Welcome aboard :-) Always good to meet new, nice people. Admittedly, I don't read as fast as I used to (spend too much time online, possibly), but I'm getting through. Currently working on Vicki Pettersson's The Scent of Shadows. It's officially released in Australia on August 1st, but I think I can get it read in time.

    We have 36 books in common, though I've only read 18 of them. (Actually, some of those books I sold without reading, so I'll have to adjust my shelf at some stage.) I'm so behind; my To-Be-Read pile is enormous. I actually counted it two Thursdays ago, but there've been some alterations since then ;-)
