I am a college graduate (Purdue University - Youth, Adult and Family Services) who works in a small public library. I am married and have two young children. Reading has always been just about my most favorite thing to do, especially when faced with the prospect of chores around the house (much to my wife's frustration)! I love a good picture book, and one of my favorite things to do is snuggle up with my kids and read to them. I also think that there is a bunch of really great fiction out there geared towards teens. I have particularly enjoyed reading K.L. Going, Lauren Oliver, Don Calame and Brandon Mull. I enjoy a well-written biography or memoir, no matter who the subject is. I am getting back into some sci-fi and fantasy, after a 15-20 year break (thank you Neil Gaiman), and I love a good graphic novel. Oh, yeah, I like to just sit and read cookbooks, and I have even been known to pick up a dictionary and just start reading. Anyway, I will read just about anything...you get the idea. I always appreciate a good recommendation, so let me know if there is anything out there that I am missing! « less
