I am first and foremost a reader. Most authors are readers. I'm no exception. I have over 4 million words published and on the market. With my latest novel, Car Wars, I've launched my first venture into fiction. Car Wars is the book I've always wanted to write. I thought of the book while recuperating from surgery due to an athletic injury. As a long-time endurance athlete, I'm no stranger to the surgeon’s blade. Over 83,000 words later, Car Wars was complete. It just poured out of me. I carried my note pad to physical therapy; made plot notes throughout the long hours in the gym during rehab; even while doing my extended bicycle rides through the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean where we live in Los Angeles with my wife, Marilyn. Our hobby is raising service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence (www.cci.org). As of this writing, we have raised seven Labrador retrievers for CCI and have had two make the cut for placement with their disabled partners. « less
