Hi Cheryl. Yeah, I love the Twilight saga. Breaking Dawn doesn't come out until August but I've already reserved it. I haven't read The Host yet though. I do love vampire books and faerie books as well as any other paranormal. We have a group called Vampires, Witches, Weres and all that and another by the same name but for YA. The first is for adults only so we have more xrated conversation. You should join them though!
Hi! I just wanted to drop in and say welcome and thank you for joining the 80's group! I hope you find it to be a lot of fun! Please feel free to start any new discussions or bring back any older ones...tell your friends to come and check us out as well! thanks again!Annie

June nominations are now up on the Good Reads book Group page. Please vote by April 15th! Remember, if you want to be the next person that nominates, you must take part in a discussion for April's book OR vote in Junes! We will pull a name out of a hat to be July's nominator!
I hope you will take the time to view my YouTube book trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-t0K34iU6g. I am doing some research about potential characters to play the lead role in the upcoming movie. Hope you can help me out. As Ralph Eggleston Director/Production Designer of Pixar Animation Studios said,"I LOVED the book! It's a missing, ENDLESSLY fascinating link to the history of Hollywood. Thank you for researching and writing it!! I hope it's been widely well received, as it deserves to be." Best wishes. Gaelyn

Thanks for accepting me as your Shelfari Friend, Cheryl. I see you have WHITE OLEANDERS on your shelf. That books was recommended to me by another Shelfari Friend but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Do you like it a lot? I'll go back and read the reviews of it.I'm not reading anything right now because I'm working on my own fourth book and moving at the same time. But what are you reading?
Glad to hear you're excited about selecting our books! Typically I like the nominees to be posted on the fifth of the month, but since you didn't find out you would be selecting titles until close to the date if you need more time to think of books, that's fine. It sounds like you'll probably be ready to go since you're already thinking of books, but if not, that's fine. You can have as long as you need. If by chance you are ready by the fifth, go ahead and start a new thread with a subject that lets users know voting for the November book is taking place in the thread. If the 5th doesn't work for you, just start the thread whenever you are ready. Voting officially ends on the 15th of the month (if you aren't able to post nominees much before this date I'll get back to you with the new deadline for voting). On the 15th you can either check the thread and announce the winner, or I can do it. It doesn't matter to me, just let me know which you prefer. Other than that, I think we're set. It's up to you to decide the 4 or 5 titles you want to nominate!I look forward to seeing your choices!
Hi! I just thought I'd send you a note to say you won the Good Reads raffle to see who is selecting our nomination titles for November. Originally another member won, but I have not heard back from the user. So, I drew out icons once again and you won. If you choose to accept this offer, let me know ASAP and I will send you more details. Thanks!
He stalks me in the kitchen when I am making homemade cc cookies...if I make something else he says, "ummmm, why x (cupcakes, brownies, muffins)? I wanted cc cookies...don't make anything else!
