I like the Russian, that Soviet shit and German, that's good too. Not a big fan of translation though (but Russki and Deutsch seem to hold up OK). Nabokov's prose makes me want to die. I want to pet Vonnegut's brain. Favorite though: 1900s to present American stuff. Yeah? Also, McSweeney's is a godsend.

    Hi Chas,

Guns Germs & Steel. Alternating with a Korean book as I'm working on well, my Korean. =) This is kind of a funny mix because the Korean book I am reading now is wildly popular pop fiction here that probably would have never been popular had it not been for Sex & The City.

    What are you reading?

I found Bernhard, Schulz, and Kafka on your shelf, do you like Gombrowicz, too? It's always nice to someone with similar interest!

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I see Beckett on your shelf, but don't recognize the cover. I enjoy his plays; I'll have to look into what that book is all about. Stop by anytime.
