Roiben: Roiben is an often morose-seeming, powerful faerie in service to the Unseelie Queen. He is a skilled fighter, and in addition is skilled in devising riddles (as seen in Ironside when he instructs Kaye to find him a faerie who can lie) and has a witty, biting remark for most things people say. It's clear that he is accustomed to the proper way of speaking found in the faerie courts, but throughout the books seems to adopt a more modern way of speaking. It is later found out that he and Nephamael were participants in a trade-the Seelie queen gave her best knight to the other court, and the Unseelie did the same.
“I love her still, more's the pity.”
Roiben: The Lord of the Unseelie Court.
“I taught myself to feel nothing. And you make me feel.”
