Mary Ann Parr: Mary Ann Parr- First registered admission at Broadmoor. A thirty-five year old year old labourer from Nottingham, she had been convicted of the murder of her child, by means of suffocation, sentenced to death, which was commuted, to life, and after medical a examination, sent on to Broadmoor. It was therenshe received what was likely the best treatment she had ever known in her squalid, poverty filled life, and lived a long life. She died at Broadmoor, at the old age of 71.
