Hop: Hop is a bossy, take charge bunny rabbit who is good friends with Hip. Hop wants to be a pumpkin for Halloween and insists his friend Hip find another character to be for Halloween. Even while Hop is getting ready and making his costume, he is irritated that Hip is using the same colors and making the same round shape as a pumpkin. Hop forces Hip to make her costume completely different from his, even though for a big friend like Hip, this is no easy task. Hop is not the best friend and mostly looks out for himself. When it starts to rain, all Hop can think of is that no trick-or-treaters will come to his house and sulks in a chair while his friend Hip tries several ways to solve the problem. Hop only remains negative and does not help the situation. As the story progresses Hop only thinks of quick half-wit solutions to helping Hip be something other than a pumpkin and none of his solutions help. In the end his friend Hip goes home and Hop is faced with the reality of the situation. He decides that he would rather have his friend Hip with him to trick-or-treat as a pumpkin than to go out trick-or-treating alone. Hop finally does the right thing and brings a wonderful Pumpkin costume over for Hip, showing what real friends do... they support one another.
