Abadil: In a legend retold by Irving, Abadil was a Moorish youth of obvious elitism whom Don Munio Sancho de Hinojosa happened to intercept while the youth was on the way to celebrate his honeymoon. Abadil described himself as "the son of a Moorish alcayde" and was therefore a natural enemy to Don Munio. After being swarmed by the Don and his company, Abadil remained calm and convinced the Don to indulge the newly married couple to continue to their honeymoon.
