No problem.Xanth books, there are a ton of them too. You start at the beginning? They don't all link as one narrative but there are little character runs of 2-4 books through the series. Puns are a large part of the Xanth series.
You can check out what the books are about, use Amazon or my favorite site to check out fantasy and sci-fihttp://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/I think you should start with Neil Gaiman's stuff for the cool creatures and magic set in the modern day, for Dragon stuff I liked Christopher Rowley's Battle Dragon series.
You seem to like things geared more towards young adults (Potter, Eragon)? I've avoided both of those series myself. Some good authors and their series to try out.Piers Anthony's "Xanth" and "Incarnations of Immortality" series.Carol Berg, I liked all her stuff.Terry Brooks' "Shannara" series, he has a bunch of series but it's always good to start with the first one.Jim Butcher's "Codex Alera" series for fantasy and his "Dresden Files" series for books set in the modern day but with fantastical elements.David B. Coe, I like all his booksGordon R Dickson's "Dragon Knight" seriesSara Douglass' "The Wayfarer Redemption" seriesDavid Eddings' "The Belgariad" seriesDavid Farland's "The Runelords" seriesRaymond E. Feist, all his books but start at the first series, "Riftwar"Neil Gaiman, all his novels are goodTerry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" seriesElizabeth Haydon's "Symphony of Ages" seriesRobin Hobb, all her books but start with "The Farseer Trilogy"JV Jones' "Book of Words" seriesScott Lynch's "Gentleman Bastard" seriesMichael Moorcock's "Elric" seriesMelanie Rawn's "Dragon Prince" and "Dragon Star" seriesMickey Zucker Reichert's "The Last of the Renshai" series, I like all her booksChristopher Rowley's "Battle Dragon" seriesSean Russell, all his booksRA Salvatore, start with the "Forgotten Realms: Icewind Dale" series. I like all his stuff.Michael A Stackpole's "The Dragoncrown War Cycle"Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman's Dragonlance books. Start at the beginning with "Dragonlance: Chronicles"Tad Williams' "Memory, Sorrow & Thorn" seriesThat should give you more than enough to read and let you decide if you want to read other books by those authors. Too many books to list here, haha
What is it about the books you like that you enjoy? That might help me suggest something for you to try.
Yep. I just ended my 12 year police career to write full time. Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoy my work.~Shane
