Hi Lynette, Thank you for your suggestion. I go forward wth it. I have sent you a private message with my e-mail address. I am looking forward to your photos of your area. Melbourne is by far my favorite city in Australia, it has a lot of character, sophistication and culture. Although, it is getting a lot of bad press at the moment with what is happening to the Indian students. I also lived many years in Sydney (when we migrated from Egypt), and 8 years in Tasmania.
I will be delighted to discuss phychology woth you. I love the subject. Good luck with your studeis, Silvana
Hi Lynette, As you might have noticed I placed a suggestion box to have some idea on how many members would be interested in reading a book together and then discussing it. I guess members that are interested can start a group with one leader who will be in charge of choosing a book for the group to read. I prefer if members have the choice to discuss other books as well. Some may have read the book that is recommended or they might choose not to participate. My main concern is that members should enjoy reading whatevr books they like to read. Having said that, shall I get the member that suggested the idea to be the leader or do you think that the admins should do that? I value your opinion on that, Have a great day, Silvana
HI Lynette, Good to hear from you. Hm, I never did very well in Algebra, or maths or geometry. Are you enjoying it so far? Are you doing the whole course online? Do you have to attend classes? I have placed a suggestion box and we'll see how many members are interested in reading a book together. Its a good idea, but it may not appeal to everyone. Perhaps we can start a group going and see how we go, as long as we can discuss other books as well. Life is freezing in Australia. It was 3 degrees in Melbourne last night. It usually gets colder towards the end of June, with July being the coldest months, however, it seems much colder this year. Brr. You'll be getting into summer soon. What is WA like in the summer time? Good luck with your studies. Enjoy you reading, Silvana
Hi Lynette, One of our members suggested that we could select a book so that we can all read it, a leader, I guess, will suggest which book to read. I would like your ideas on that. Being a general type of group where everyone likes to read all sorts of books it might be a bit difficult unless some of the members choose to read one book, and others can read what they want. I will send the same messsage to the other admins for theri imput, thank you for your valuable help, Hope to hear from you soon, Silvana
Ps: How is your psychology course?
Man into nature written by Jack London. The Pillars of the earth by Ken Follett is supposed to be pretty good. I have a huge list of books that I plan to read. We'd like to hear from you. Lynette, so please tell us about your books. Which is your favorite author? Happy reading, Silvana
