I can't remember not being able to read and that is saying something! I thank my mum and nan for this, I have loved books my whole life, and love being lost in a good story. Most of my historical knowledge comes from mostly historical fiction, Leon Uris for example along with Edward Rutherford and Frank Delaney are responsible for my Irish History knowledge, well mostly.
I collect good childrens books in anticipation of passing on this passion, and am still debating over getting a kindle. My books are my treasure, and I have snuck many books and suffered countless shoulder neck and back strain in sneaking heavy books into my carry on so that I can bring 'just a few more' with me on my travels.
It will take me a long time to populate this but if it proves useful I might just keep at it!
