    thanx alot for the reply

ok .. i am confused about the book .. it is new type for me .. it is a good book .. but sometimes i felt things move so fast .. another times so slow ...

but most annoyingly .. is that it is meant to be reflecting reality .. and there i disagree at some points ... i am a muslim girl u see .. so when i see the slice of ppl he used to represent islam it annoys me ... he choose the ones who dont really belive , who drinks and dont pray and even have affiar and this is not acceptable in islam ... so when i see someone who is not muslim reads this, i guess he will take the wrong impression about islam ...

another thing is the whole stuff about taliban .. i dont know about politics .. but i know that they dont do as described in the book ... at least the dont kill for nothing all the time ...

but these things are understandable from a writer as khaled who has been living in america long enough to forget that he is from Afghanistan ... so he is biased and i dont like ppl to be like this when they are writing and speaking to so many minds !!

maybe u think that i am over reacting or over judjing but i too cant be unbiased !

    hey
i once asked if i should read the kite runner and ur answer was:
"I liked The Kite Runner just after I read it, but lost respect for the author when he made the movie despite the dangers it put upon the family"

if it is not so much to ask what did u mean by "danger to the family"

thanx so much for the recommendation in the first place

You have some great and varied books on your shelf! I see you have "A High Wind in Jamaica" which is one of my all-time favorite novels...
