Cecilia glad I could help ~ and that you enjoyed Philip Craig ~ reading about Cape Cod is fun ~ There is also a series that takes places on a ficitonalized Cape Ann that a "cozy" read ~ think the author is Goldenbaum~ Yes, read Patterson's Step on a crack ~ enjoyed it. Isn't Louise Penny terrific! I did the same thing ~ sped through her books (should have savored them) and now waiting for her next one ~ How is your little Yorkie? Zoe (my yorkie) and are having a good summer ~ taking nightly long walk & going to private art lessons & having coming ~ Happy Reading
Hi Cecilia ~ Loved Louse Penny's books ~ think you will too ~ I am not very good at posting all the books I have ~ I love reading so I devour books like peanuts ~ Reading Philip Craig's last book Vineyard Chill ~ enjoying it ~ He has since died ` He was a Cape Codder and wrote mysteries with local areas of Martha's Vineyard ~ namaste, CarolM
darn, I went to the library today and couldn't remember Spencer Fleming's name at all. Hoped for some lighter reading. Just finished Still Alice about early onset Alzheimer's which basically broke my heart....:-(....needing something a little lighter for Spring break. Thanks for reminding me about Shelfari
Glad you like Roland Merullo ... Breakfast with Buddah was great. I'll get A Little Love Story next ... and ... A Little Bit Wicked. I'm looking at getting a Kindle2 but can't decide if it would be as enjoyable to hold that and read something versus actually holding a book. What do you think of the Kindle?
Hi Cecilia ~ The Ladies Lending Library was good ~ not one of my favorites but a good read ~ rather dry in the beginning ~ but once one becomes attached to the characters ~ it moves along rather well. I just finished reading Mary Alice Monroe's book ~ Time is a River & it had wonderful characters, plot and a mystery to it as well as well wonderful "inspirational quotes" ~ a real good read ~ thanks ~ I will check out Hotel at the Corner of Bittersweet ~ title is attracting ~ LOL ~ I have a kindle & keep forgetting to put the books I have read on Shelfari ~ will try soon ~ enjoy the week ~ Hugs and namaste, Carol ~ PS ~ You might enjoy my blog ~ http://artmusedog.blogspot.com
Cecilia ~ reading your list of books is like reading mine ~ We tend to read the same if not similiar books ~ Hope you had a nice Holiday ~ Snow expected here for the New Year ~ staying and reading a good book ~ have been "nursing a cold/flu" ` so will stay with my doggies & visit the next day ~ Hugs to you and happy reading!
Molly Murphy was good ~ the Faitih Fairchild is the "character sleuth" ~ author of the books is Katherine Hall Page & I have found her books rather light and fun to read ~ I tend to read several mysteries by one author & then need to switch ~ Just finished Loving Frank ~ It was a historical fiction and well done ~ about Frank Lloyd Wright's relationship with Mamar (not his legal wife) Hope you had a good 4th ~ namaste & hugs, Carol
I finished Harpsong. It was a little short on plot but I was glad I read it anyway. I'm reading Snow Flower and the Secret Fan right now. I noticed it on your shelf. I think it is excellent, I feel like I'm in the story, enough so that I'm actually dreaming about it.
