A fantastic resource. The case studies alone are worth the price of the book. Gaining insight as to why designers went in certain directions is absolutely priceless. Pages upon pages of logos, wordmarks and illustrations make for a tremendous source for inspiration. Add this book to your collection.

After seeing Michael Lopp speak at the 2007 Webmaster Jam Session ... and after realizing that I had been a fan of his work for years - without knowing who he was - I picked up this book. I have only just begun reading it, but I'm hooked.

Must have, though at this point it's in serious need of an update. The 2nd Edition of the CSS Definitive Guide would be much better to have than this pocket-sized edition.

Very small and compact Bible. The metal casing keeps the Bible easily protected. I've dropped it several times, and it's only suffered minor dents.

I was horribly disappointed by this book. Nothing, and I mean nothing, from the title of this book - "Writing for Design Professionals: A Guide to Writing Successful Proposals, Letters, Brochures, Portfolios, Reports, Presentations and Job Applications" - would lead you to believe that this book was geared to the field of architecture. I ordered this off of Amazon thinking it looked incredibly relevant. When I got it and started reading it I seriously went "WTF? This is NOT for Graphic Design Professionals...

Avoid it unless you're an architect. Maybe you'll find it useful. I sure didn't.

It's hard to ignore how important this book was when it was published. Creating Killer Web Sites was the book to read in 1997. It's horribly outdated now, but back then it challenged people to view the web much differently than.

I didn't think it was possible, but this was better than the first edition. It's a must read for anyone designing on the web.
