I am a single mom of a 16 year old girl who loves to read as much as I do. I have an eclectic bookshelf, I read what catches my eye either by cover or by summary/reviews.     Your Venice log-in pic caught my eye...and then a found a whole clutch of books to add to my wish list after viewing your shelves. A Venice and a Pompei fan, I see. Have you done much travelling in that area? Some of my most magical travel memories are of walking back to the hotel in Venice, the absolute silence of the small side canal broken only by the quiet lap of water against the walls, until a gondola of tourists, lit by torches, travelled by while one of the gondeliers sang, accompanying himself on a mandolin. Wonderful!

    Does your daughter also love to read? I just wondered because both my daughters read voraciously at that age--one read romance and one read fantasy. The funny thing is, now they switched, and the one who read fantasy reads nearly all romance now. The other one reads across the board.
