I am a reference librarian living in southwest Ohio. As you might guess from my bookshelf, I have a wide range of reading interests--from Rachel Gibson to Shakespeare, from hard-boiled police procedurals to light romance to classics! I'm never without a book to read and have found myself quickly becoming addicted to this site. It's so much... more »

Would like to give this 4 1/2 stars. Just a terrific story--complex characters and a great puzzle to solve. Hope this author gives us many more books!

The best book I've read so far this year. Kathryn Stockett creates such a vivid sense of time and place. The story is moving, sad and uplifting all at once. Highly recommended.

My favorite baking book of all time--too bad that it's out of print. I can't say how many times I've just sat and looked through this cookbook "just for fun". It's also provided many joyful afternoons baking cookies, breads, cakes, etc. Great book!

I couldn't even guess how many times I've gone to this cookbook when I'm in need of a quick, easy, delicious cake. My copy is stained and worn from using it again and again. Everything I've made gets rave reviews--a wonderful book!

I've never been able to understand the hype surrounding this series. The writing is atrocious and the plot is downright silly. It's an interesting premise for a series, but was taken up by the wrong writers. Horrible!

One of the most moving books I've ever read. The story of a father caring for his daughter who has a life-threatening illness. I read this book years ago and it sticks with me to this day. I recommend it whenever I have a chance. Read it with a box of tissues close at hand.
