Hi,

Thanks for visiting my shelf!

I'm a voracious reader. I'm intrigued by the way the world, and the people living in it, functions. I read about ten non-fiction books for every fiction. The library is my home away from home. I love coffee shops with book exchanges, and I haunt bookstores.

I've read literally... more »

    The Ancient One says

    Brighten Your Corner
    by Helen Steiner Rice

    We cannot all be famous
Or be listed in "Who's Who",
But every person, great or small,
    Has important work to do.

    For seldom do we realize
    The importance of small deeds,
Or to what degree of greatness
    Unnoticed kindness leads.

For it's not the big celebrity
In a world of fame and praise,
    But it's doing unpretentiously
    In an undistinguished way.

The work that God assigned to us,
    Unimportant as it seems,
    That makes our task outstanding,
    And brings reality to dreams.

So do not sit and idly wish
    For wider, new dimensions
Where you can put into practice,
    Your many good intentions.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, CASSANDRA!!!! TO YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY...
Nope, haven't checked out the Kindle Program. I'm the sort that needs feedback first, before I'll bite.
I'll be going silent for a while. New year's Day, I'll start my new book, well the research part of it, so my notes will be less seldom. Please don't take it as you're not in my thoughts. I'll be researching by day and reading all the books I received as gifts by night. Yes...Jenny's Legacy is among them.
I pray 2008 waltzes in with its arms loaded with blessings for you.
    Peace and Light,
    Taylor

Forgive my slow response, Cassandra. Seems with all the marketing I have, I have to remember to squeeze my daily pleasures in here and there.
I'm off this week to Mebane, N.C., the setting for my book. Do a book signing and visit w/ folks.
Thanks for your kind words. Warmed me heart.
I haven't had time to check out the Kindle program. What do you think of it?
Can you believe Christmas is only weeks away? Our 80 degree temps melt some of the Yuletide Joy. I'd love a White Christmas. Perhaps the time I'm in North Carolina, there will be a flurry or two. And I'd be sure to be out in it.
May god shower you with an endless supply of creativity and professional success.
Jenny's Legacy is on my Christmas list. Can't wait to put my nose into it.
    Peace and Light,
    Taylor

Nice to meet your Cassandra. I quickly browsed your bookshelf (how fun!), and I will definitely have to come back and browse again with a cup of coffee! I haven't seen "A Whack On The Side of The Head" in years. It was a helpful read years ago. Take Care~

Thanks Cassandra. I had some birth announcement postcards printed up as part of my marketing package. Sounded like a good idea to me. Glad you liked it. You're welcome to use it, if you'd like.
Gosh, there's so much to do, places to go and people to see; I'm cross-eyed.
I'm in such a rush to get it going strong for the holidays.
    Appreciate your kind words.
Happy Thanksgiving, my friend. May God's bounty fill your heart and home.
    Peace and Light,

Born this morning @ amazon.com, weighing in at 274 pages, and named 'Returning to Rockwell', I became a proud parent.
Couldn't wait to start sharing the news. I know you can relate well.
Thanks for your support, my friend.
    God Bless...

Looking left is fine. It has the "pensive" feel. I like the write-up on your profile too. I think I need to add more info to mine. :)

    Hi, nice to meet you!
I usually read sci-fi / fantasy but I have friends who "feed" me with non-fiction and classics. I like the feeling of my mind broadening!
My cats are three years old, I ve had them since they were about three months. It's the first time I've had cats from kittens, I love watching their personalities develop.
