I am the third of five boys and one sister, born into an Irish/Italian Catholic family in 1955. I grew up in the late 60's at the beginning of the Woodstock generation. Early in my teens I became heavily involved with the occult, including Kung Fu Karate and eastern mysticism. I had a distrust for everyone and the desire to fight at the least provocation.
At age 16, my oldest brother phoned home to declare that he had given his life to Christ. We all found that curious, but one year later, while sitting in a church service that he attended, I asked Christ to come into my heart and forgive me for my sins. I can only inadequately describe that my life changed instantly on the inside.
Years later, I followed the calling of God to become a pastor. Through the years, it has been my joy to start and pastor four congregations along with my wife Pat of 28 years and our four grown children who all serve Christ in the ministry. In the early part of 1990, I set my mind and heart to writing. Titanic Warning is my second book, which I wrote in three weeks of intense study of the story together with my passion for effective church leadership.
More than any other activity, I enjoy teaching and training small groups of people on practical Christianity and has been my privilege to serve alongside some great men and women of God.
