I'm the former Young Adult Librarian at the Belmont Public Library. While I love YA lit. and will continue reading it, I have changed positions and am now the Technology Librarian at the Somerville Public Library. I'm thinking that I'll start reading more adult literature soon.

Just finished Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson, and thought you'd like it - very good sibling relationships. What didn't you like about Wintergirls? It's getting such rave reviews, but I must admit I'm finding it hard to get beyond the first few pages.

Hi Caron, I loved your note on the "Tree Grows in Brooklyn" discussion, where your friend said she wished she could read a favorite book again for the first time. There's nothing like the initial reading of a wonderful book!

I'm intrigued by one of the titles on your shelf (I can't see it while typing this, but I think it's "One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies"). I had to laugh, because it reminded me of Lurlene McDaniels entire line, which my 15-year-old daughter and her friends absolutely devour.

I am not a fantasy fan either. I haven't even read all the Harry Potter books. I have recently gotten into vampire books lately. When I was reading Twilight, it was easy to forget it was a young adult book. It sometimes seemed like adult fiction.

Hi. I was looking at the first 2 pages of your shelf and it was like looking at mine. I see you are a children's librarian. I work in the children's department of a bookstore so I am always trying to read new books. You should read Stephenie Meyer. Twilight is really good.
