First off, I don't read YA novels, this was the first one(s) I read, but I heard all these good things about the Twilight Series, so when my sister got all four books for a birthday gift, I decided to check them out.

Because I don't read YA novels, I can't really compare. However, over all, I enjoyed the series. I will admit that there were a few things that bugged me. First, the repeated Edward description i.e., beautiful hard, cold, marble skin. It did tend to turn me off after the hundredth repeat. And Bella's falling and clumsiness.

I did enjoy the love story, though, but I kept waiting for the "good" parts, but then had to remind myself that there wouldn't be any of "those" scenes because this was a YA Novel, so that was a bit disappointing and it also made me feel cheated, like I missed something. But, the author did do a good job of conveying those "parts" and leaving it to the readers imaginations.

I will admit I couldn't put the book(s) down (I've read the whole series, (plus Midnight Sun, whiere the PDF download was offered from the author's website and is Twilight (the first book in the series) told entirely from Edward's POV). I do plan to see the movie(s) buy the DVD's, so that should tell you something. :)

I would recommend you read Twilight at least once, and form your own decision.

    The bottom line? Highly recommended.

I haven't read this book yet. I won it from a contest on The Knight Agency Blog

I bought First Draft in 30 Days to help me stay focused with my writing. I seem to be all over the place with my projects and really need to learn to focus on one task at a time.

I have just begun reading through First Draft, and it seems to be what I need.
From what I can tell so far, I seems to be a great outline tool and it looks like it will help you learn to stay focused and organized (which is what I truly need).

I've read mixed reviews, here as well as on Amazon, and find that it either works for you or it doesn't.

I'll let you know how it goes.

This is my all time favorite romance. It's the first romance book I remember reading. I'm sure I read some before SSL, but I can't remember them. I read it for the first time when I was a teenager back in the 70's. I've read it a hundred times over the years and will probably read it a hundred more times.
