My love of books started very young. I remember trying to read my first novel when I was 5, and just staring at the words pleading with the page to make sense. I still remember the book, "The Story of My Life" the Helen Keller story (not an easy read for a 5 year old). I remember watching the smart girl in grade 3 reading it, and wanted to...more »

I enjoyed looking at your shelf... it seems we have quite a few books in common. I too am a littl more prone to "chick" literature for some reason.
Wondering if you have read anything worth recommending lately?

Go ahead and admit it. There is something about the smell of a new book that's better than any drug out there. I know I can't be the only person to pick up a book, crack it open, and inhale... ; )

    Hola Carleyb,

Where about in Spain are you craving to visit? I hit Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia a few years back and was completely taken by the country. I think I enjoyed Barcelona the best. If you get the chance to go, I recommend checking out a book on their most famous artist, Antonio Gaudi.

As for the chicken and the egg I will give you the explanation my students like: The egg came first because dinosaurs had eggs millions of years before chickens walked the earth.

Oh, at the risk of sounding generic, what are you reading these days?
