Yes ,read it .it is quite nice.I would certainly recommand .But it all adventure .No romance or dreamy emotion ,so I dont know if it will fit your taste. It is worth a try . It took me a few initial pages to decide how i like it but after that I found it interesting and it has its own sense of humour though there is grimness actually.

Yes, especially if the name just came to you. There should be some meaning there for you. It is not the usual type of book I read but I did find it interesting and I'm sure you will too.

Hello. Inspite of most readers I liked the beginning as well. I agree with Jay, that it's ultimately theme is a serious and profound one. If you miss the whole point of the book, you will not like it at all. Keep the search and link to spiritual enlightenment in the back of you head as the book is a metaphore to that.

The way the title came to you tells me, that there is no mistake in that you should read it. (I am not a spiritual person, in fact, one could call me an atheist, and I don't know if you are, but I do like to keep my mind wondering and open.)

Life of Pi is definitely not a page turner. It is even painstakingly slow at times. But I enjoyed the subtext and the evolution of the character along the story.

I started Life of Pi and an audio book and was bored by its slow start, go-nowhere story. My book club chose it so I tried again and I read the book through. I did not change my mind. My fellow readers found it somewhere between poor and curious. I have no explanation for its popularity. Good luck

I would say that LIfe of Pi is well worth reading I was resistant to it at first, considering its mass appeal, but I'm glad I finally read it. I think it's ultimately theme is a serious and profound one, and I've found myself thinking back on the book several times since reading it.

about life of pi, its not the best written book, but its a very interesting read. i'd say go for it if ur more into the story and not extremely picky about the language used.
