“I found "Captain Wentworth's Diary" to be remarkably charming, sophisticated and dazzling. Amanda Grange brought the lovely captain to glorious life, and kept him very comfortably in character. My only disappointment with this "Persuasion" retelling was the lack of Mary Musgrove's over-dramatic absurdities, and I also felt that Anne's emotions were not quite blossoming in the final scenes. Still, an extremely touching look at the events of Jane Austen's beautiful novel from the eyes of one of her most romantic men!”
