I am an Elementary Ed reading major at Eastern . My favorite thing to do (obviously) is read... followed closely by camping (with a good book). I also love to scrapbook and create fun things for my friends. Shopping is pretty high up there as well. I also love to ski, wakeboard and snowboard.

  • A. Michaelson

    A. Michaelson says

Hello, Candace. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times, but you will see him as never before. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. Have you ever wondered what is was like to live in those times? What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including a link to copy and paste. Let me know what you think.

    The Ancient One says

    A Native American Prayer

    O' Great Spirit,
Who's voice I hear in the winds, and whose breath gives life, life to all the world, hear me!
I am small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every rock and leaf.
I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy which is myself.
Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes.
So, when life fades as the falling sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame.
