    Hi,

It looks like we have a few books in common and we both like historicals. I enjoy mostly "fluffy" books too. ;) If you're interested, stop by and check out my Historical Romances group. Among other things I have a quizzes post and an "Upcoming Releases" post.

Thanks for your response! I noticed you read The Red Tent and loved it. That is one of my most favorite books ever. It sat on my "to read" shelf for the longest time and finally another reader friend of mine said "please read The Red Tent, you won't be disappointed" I can't believe I let that masterpiece sit there for so long. Anyway, thanks for the tip and I will hopefully get to The Outlander Series soon. Happy Reading, Michelle

Just thought you might enjoy a novel that was just released, The Trust by Sean Keefer. The book's description from Amazon is below in case it is something you would enjoy:

To attorney Noah Parks, the probate of a will should be a simple task. But the Last Will and Testament of Leonardo Xavier Cross is anything but simple. Though Parks has never heard of Cross, he learns that the Will directs that he provide the legal representation for the estate and as part of his fee he receive the contents of a safety deposit box – a safety deposit box no one knew existed. Intrigued, Parks undertakes the task but after the body count begins to rise the otherwise basic task of probating the will becomes more complicated as each day passes. Despite all of Parks’ skills, the answers he seeks remain elusive and force him to delve deeper into the shocking and deceptive Cross’ family history which sets the stage for an explosive finale that Parks can only hope to survive. Set in Charleston, South Carolina, The Trust is the debut novel from Sean Keefer. Blending elements of traditional southern literary fiction, suspense and mystery; you won’t be satisfied until the final page is turned.

hi, i'm already "friends" with you on shelfari and just noticed that you and i have 105 books in common! (many of which are on my plan to read list) so i thought i might recomend three awesome books to you(that is if you haven't already read them).
recomendation #1: THE DISTANT HOURS by Kate Morton : i thought you would like it cos it's kinda historical and mysterious like great and terrible beauty, yet is more mature.
#2: MY NAME IS MEMORY by Ann Brashares: according to critics this book was meant to be a love story that could rival twilight, it's totally different from any book i ever read because the characters are reincarnated.
#3: Jane eyre: my favourite victorian classic and perhaps my favourite book of all time. so i don't know if you'd even want to read it(or if u have ) i'm just putting it here cos i like this book.

Thanks! I hate it when there are sex scenes in books, so I probably won't be reading it. It's too bad though, because I love romance, and I love pirates. It really sounded like a good book. I'll ask my parents. Thanks again and God Bless!
By the way, I started reading at age 3, and haven't really put a book down since either. :-)

    Hello californiameaghan,
I asked if I should read The Least Likely Bride by Jane Feather, and you said no. Why did you say no? I'm just wondering. I kind of need specifics on my answers, because sometimes there might be really bad stuff, and sometimes there are things I can just ignore. Please get back to me soon!

I hope you are having a nice summer. I have my nose in small town romances which I just found. Robyn Carr's Virgin River series is my favorite. I'm now reading Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series. I hope you are well and happy. I see you are reading a lot.

    Hi Meaghan,

Thanks for your friendship on Shelfari! This is random, but I have to tell you that I've got a child's placemat tucked away in my kitchen with your name it--spelled exactly the same way. I bought it years ago for a co-worker's child, but then I misplaced it, and my coworker quit. I never caught up with her to present it. Do you want it? ha ha It's really cute with little cartoon vegetables telling veggie jokes...

Aside from my interest in your unique and beautiful name, I sought you out because of your impressive collection of titles read, the fact that we have somewhat similar tastes in stories (fluffy, was the word you used, I believe) and the fact that you sound like a sweet and nice person who won't be too mean to me when I ask a favor...

I'm a new author, and I've just recently released my story "Mayne Attraction: In The Spotlight." I'm hoping it's the kind of story that you enjoy, and that you will check it out online (www.MayneAttraction.com) and add it to your shelf here at Shelfari.

In my more progressive fantasies I'm hoping that you will actually read and enjoy it, post a nice review here and on my website and tell your friends at the library and elsewhere about a promising new author and her new series.

That's it. That's the plea. If you have questions or would like inside information from the nobody author who doesn't have an agent or a big publishing company pushing her book, just a laptop and a Shelfari membership, then please send me a note...I'm only too happy and thrilled to dish!

    Thanks Meaghan!

I feel the same way you do about Gone... but I did still love it. I also feel the same way about Vampire Kisses, they are good enough to me to keep reading the series (especially since they are so fast to read) but they aren't WONDERFUL!
