I loved Memoirs of a Geisha! It's the kind of book that's right up my alley. I'd be glad to be your friend!

Another thing I noticed about Fern Michaels is that all her female characters either had a kitchen with checkered curtains and chair pads (either red or green) OR they dreamed about it. LOL

The males usually grew up in a kitchen like that.

I see you've read Fern Michaels. I love her books, but it really grates on my nerves when she uses the phrase "It is what it is" in so many of her books and it is said by all the characters.

I FINALLY found a paperback at the Bettendorf Library by J. Picoult. It's about an Amish girl who gives birth in her barn but doesn't know what she's done with the baby. Guess Jodi lived with the Amish of Pennsylvania for three months to research this book.

I'm reading LATE BLOOMER right now. It's good! So now you have to try to read one of Jodi Picoult's.

    CJ,
Check out my shelf so that you can see the book I just finished. As I told you, the author is Jodi Picoult. She's simply one of the best authors I've read in a very long time. Happy reading!

I have not read “Beautiful Lies” yet. It is my local book club read in a few months. I put it on the wrong shelf. But now with you post to me, I think I will need to move it up the list. I will try and re-post to you once I have done so.
