“The first part, about why she wrote the book, the background info, what she'll talk about, was too thesisy for me, but I got excited when she got to the technology part.”

“I was in tears from laughing, especially the part about the Nora Aunor pan de sal. I wish this book had an index, as I kept referring to it, for Mama Sita, Aegis, et al.”

“I learned that men think that women love them when women keep themselves attractive. I read a lot of the theories already in Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus; Mars and Venus in Love; and Manwatching. Still, it was an easy read. ”

“Dorian Gray was gay? I didn't realize that, even though I know that Oscar Wilde was gay. I prefer Oscar Wilde when he's funny, although this is the only Wilde book that I've read. Wilde is always interesting, as can be expected of gay writers like Danton Remoto.”
