Hi Bundo! We've been friends for awhile now, so I want to invite you to see an amazing and authentic ghost photo that I snapped myself. I'm posting it just in time for Halloween! The more you gaze at the photo, the more ghosts you willl see! It's truly creepy! Check it out: www.devilsverse.wordpress.com
Thanls bundo50! Also I have a bad habit of mis-typing my blog address. Just in case it's http://devilsverse.wordpress.com. Sometimes I accidentally used the @ symbol instead of the a simple period in the middle of the address.
That gift of a difficult situation was drilled into me by my mom. She was always teaching me about what to expect and deal with it. I am all excided about getting to quilt again. My sewing room is going to have a new floor and guess what happened? My hubby used my sewing machine to fix his shorts and broke my sewing machine by pulling his shorts that was stuck out of the feed dogs and pulled the bobbin casing with it! Well, I told him that he will have to fix it and soon. I want to make things to sell to make a little extra spending money. Probably will sell them on Esty. My hobbies are a little expensive. I like audio books, but I can't afford the cost of them. I think reading is better anyway. I seem to keep more focused with the written word. I was born in 1954. I didn't miss getting the Polio vaccine. My Vaccine was in dead virus shot form, Dr. Salk's Vaccine, and I got Polio from the vaccine in 1955. Apparently it was contaminated. I was 13 months old when I contracted the disease. Since I live in California it is possible that the doctor received his Polio Vaccines from Cutter Laboratories. During that time Cutter was distributing bad Polio Vaccines (read The Cutter Incident by Paul A. Offit, M. D.) a very interesting story. If you want you could join my knitting group on Yahoo call Dancin' Needles we are a good knitting group. Hope you can join.
I had added the book Julia & Julia to my Wish List. I want to see the movie too.
Your picture looks great. Hope you are feeling better.
Thank you for the feedback, I will get around to reading it. Have you read all Jean M. Auel and are you waiting for the 6th book?
Thanks for the feedback for Empire Falls. I decided to read the book :)
Thank you for your reply. I started reading Gruen's Flying Chances last night and like her writing--it flows nicely. Now I'm not dreading reading Water for Elephants for my book club next time. Enjoy your day!
Yes, the secret is well worth reading! Discusses the benefits of positive thinking, etc. It's an easy reading book and you'll get something out of it.Lisa
I too loved Carnivale on HBO. It was such an unusual show. I was so disappointed when they canceled it. Kept hoping they’d bring it back, if not for a whole season, at least long enough to clear up all the loose ends for its fans. It wasn't based on a book was it? That would be a good read.
I wish I were organized enough to post more books. I am now reading _Light Fell_ a novel about a male, Israeli professor of English literature, who once fell in love with a male rabbi and divorced his wife. His lover, a genius of the Talmud, killed himself because he felt he had cut himself off from the love of G-d (the way Jews write it) by acting on his homosexual impulses. I almost didn't go on with this book because it was veering into homoeroticism that does not interest me. However, the author left that path and moved on to this man's attempts to rebuild the connections to his wife, father, and 5 sons. It is beautifully written so I will circumvent the there to which I do not wish to go. The protagonist's name is "Licht" which is German for "light" so I guess he is the title character as well. There is also reference to the phrase "light fell" in Jewish literature. I was also began thinking about Ellen in _The Pillars of the Earth_. Were Europeans burning witches in the 12th Century, or did that not happen until the Inquisition? Maybe Follett had it right after all. What do you think of _Final Exam_? Do you think our medical system can avoid exacerbating the pain of death and loss? I know you have lived through this nightmare several times. I am interested in your opinion and I hope this book is not too painful.
hi. i didnt read ur books which one is more interesting?would u leave me a handnote or a summary about coffee,tea,..?tnx alot
Thanks for introducing me to this site. Boy, I can see this is going to sop up a lot of my time. As with pets, the life of a book is tragically short--only the length of time one is immersed in reading it. Short of rereading it, its life can only be prolonged by reading reviews or discussing it with others. This website is my paradise! Books immortalized!
